An
Elvis Community Concert Fundraiser
Program Description: How It Works
A Tribute To Elvis Show is held at a local facility such as a high school, meeting room, banquet facility or community center. Tickets are sold for $12-$18 each. Refreshments, Food, and other items such as raffle tickets can also be sold by the charity or sponsoring organization.
What I Provide:
I help the charity or sponsoring organization with all materials needed to make the event a success, including Posters, Tickets, Publicity Materials, and a Handbook on how to form a committee and organize and promote the event. I provide the entertainment and equipment, and the organizational plan on how to raise money for your worthy cause.
The show itself consists of a 90 minute program of live entertainment which includes a full Elvis show featuring Mark W. Curran in full Elvis costume (An exact replica of Elvis's "Aloha Concert Jumpsuit") doing all of Elvis's greatest hits and featuring highlights from his career.
I provide all equipment, including a sound system, concert lighting, and giveaways such as silk scarves and signed Elvis photographs. (All free!) I also mix and mingle with the crowd after the show, posing for photographs and talking with the audience about the charity.

- Can be successfully organized by only a few people in minimal time

Basic Committee Organization:
1) Ticket Sales Coordinator
2) Facility Coordinator
3) Promotions Coordinator
The Ticket Sales Coordinator distributes 10 numbered tickets to each member of the organization for sale to family, friends, and associates, and follows up to make sure the tickets are sold and monies collected before the event.
The Facility Coordinator handles setting up the venue where the concert is to be held, making sure all arrangements for the facility are in place, including rental, deposits, and placement of seating. This can include the sale of refreshments, food, and other items.
The Promotions Coordinator is in charge of coordinating all placement of promotional announcements, including newspaper, newsletter, radio, and internet advertising, as well as the placement of posters in high visibility establishments near the venue. This person will work closely with Mark Curran who will provide all promotional materials and media lists.
Sample Revenues and Projections:
If 26 members of organization are given 10 tickets each to sell to the event, at $15 each, the total revenue from these tickets would be $3,900. If refreshments are sold at the event, and the event draws 300 people, the average sale on sodas and snacks, hot dogs, etc. would be $3 per person, at 50% sell through this would represent about $450 in revenues, and this usually goes higher.
Using the above example, the fundraiser may earn from $2000-$3000 per event depending on a number of variables. This figure will increase as more people buy tickets, as well as to add the sale of items such as raffle tickets, auction items, and sundries.
On a turnout of 300 people, a raffle with only a 50% sell through for a $100 stereo CD player can easily earn $1000-$1500. (Average 5 tickets per person at $1 each).
With peripheral items included it would not be unusual for an event such as this to net $3500-$4500 for the benefiting organization or charity.
If 50 members of the organization are active in selling 10 tickets each, this would increase the above net number to $7,500 in tickets sales, 1,125.00 for refreshments/food and $2000 for the raffle, netting the benefit or charity $6800-$7500 per event.
